Looking for an evening out in Barry? Join one of our guided wine tastings in our wine bar on High Street. Every month we host a fun, intimate wine tasting where we’ll take you through five wines that we’ve discovered that we think you’ll love. Our wine tasting evenings are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable and above all fun. Perfect for date nights, an evening activity with friends or just come along and enjoy the wines and their stories.

Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned wine lover, here is exactly what happens when you book a ticket at Môr.

Arrive and Settle in

6pm - 6:30pm

Doors open at our cozy High Street shop and bar. You'll be welcomed by us, Tim and Claire - we’re the founders of Môr and will be your hosts for the evening. Grab your seat in our intimate tasting space, and meet your fellow wine tasters for the evening.

The Curated Pouring Lineup

Approx 2 and a half hours 

We hand-pick a rotating lineup of themed wines for each event—ranging from hidden European gems and natural, low-intervention bottles to exceptional local Welsh wines (like White Castle Vineyards and Tair Gafr). We choose the wines based on stories, new releases, new discoveries and wines that we’ve discovered that we want to share with you.

We break down the stories behind the vineyards, the unique grapes, and tasting notes. There's no stuffy wine etiquette here; we focus on what makes the wine special and how to identify flavours you love.

Thoughtful Pairings & Socializing

Throughout the night

If you’ve added a cheese board to your ticket  you’ll have 3 cheeses to enjoy that have been chosen to complement the flavour profiles of the wines. After the formal tasting wraps up, the bar remains open for you to enjoy another glass of your favorite pour or chat with the team and other guests.

Frequently Asked Questions About Môr Tastings

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Môr is a fully dog-friendly venue. Our resident black Labrador, Darcy, is usually hanging around, and your well-behaved four-legged friends are always welcome to join you at the tasting. 

What is the dress code?

Completely casual. We want Môr to feel like a relaxing extension of your own living room. Come as you are!

Do you sell bottles to take home on the night?

Absolutely. Môr operates as both a wine bar and a bottle shop. If you fall in love with a particular natural wine or Welsh vintage during the tasting, you can purchase bottles to take home with you or arrange for local click-and-collect any time during our opening hours.
